This is our third week doing the "Meet the Sitters" feature on our blog, we hope you are enjoying it as much as we are in the office!

Meet Zayna!

Week 3

Name: Zayna Ibrahim

Hometown: Latham, New York

Age: 20
Major: Business

Favorite Color : Pink
Favorite Candy: York Peppermint Patties

One interesting fact about yourself:

When I was 6 or 7, I played soccer. I think it took me 3 or 4 games to finally get the ball, and when I did I stopped to jump up and down and yell to my mom “look I got the ball”. Needless to say, it got stolen from me right away.

If you could have dinner with one person, alive or dead, who
would it be and why?

Michael Jordan. I remember staying up late on school nights just to watch him play. He was an amazing basketball player and I would love to hear about his experiences first hand. Of course, playing basketball in Space Jam is the first experience I would ask to hear about.

It is a lazy Sunday, how would you spend your day?

Watching the New York Giants! Unless football season is over, then cuddling up in bed with a cup of tea and reading or watching TV.

What is the funniest comment you have heard from a child
while working for SMS?

“Do you know what a baby is? Because a baby, a baaaby, and a babyyyyy, are three different things.” – Anonymous

When you were a kid growing up, what did you want to be?

I wanted to be a singer. I used to drive my parents crazy by singing the same song over and over again on my karaoke machine.

If you were stranded on a desert island, and could pick three
items, what would they be?

I would bring a really long book to kill time, a phone to call for help, and a flotation device so I could float around in the ocean while I read.

What is the funniest memory from your childhood babysitter?

Two of my neighbors, my brother, my babysitter, and I were building a soccer net in my backyard. I stepped on glass and got a piece caught in my foot. My babysitter and her brother immediately brought a first aid kit and 10 pillows outside for me to lay on while they “performed surgery” on my foot. Her brother actually ended up becoming a doctor! I guess I was good practice.

What has been your most memorable experience while
working with SMS?

I had an overnight with one of my regulars. I had babysat them so much that having an overnight was just like having a sleepover with two of my family members! It was so fun, they invented a game that we played and they made me feel like a kid all over again.
