7.    What is the funniest memory from your childhood babysitter?
 One of my funny stories is that I used to be the neighborhood babysitter. Therefore one of the little boys who was 3, his parents were trying to get him potty trained, well he told everyone that I was his girlfriend. In order to get him potty trained I told him that he wasn't aloud to come to my house unless he peed in the potty. Three days later he was potty trained. He came over to my house just to tell me! 
8.    What is the funniest thing a child has said to you while babysitting?
 One time when i was babysitting, this was the time that the movie Frozen had come out. A little girl told me that I needed to be in a castle with a prince like Elsa. 
9.    What is the best advice someone has ever given to you?
 Because I am in graduate school getting my masters I am stressed out alot, therefore my mom always tells me to take it day by day, one step at a time. Therefore every time I get stressed out I remember what she tells me and think about that I do need to take it day by day and everything will work itself out. 
10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
 To teach is to touch lives forever. 
11. What has been the best thing about working with SMS?

I love meeting all the families, and with me, I am becoming an early childhood teacher therefore I get to meet fun little ones and come up with creative ideas on what activities I want to do with them.

7.    What is the funniest memory from your childhood babysitter? We were making Kool-Aid with my little sister and she accidentally got some of the powder in her hair.  Our babysitter tried to wash it out, but it ended up dying her hair orange and it didn't fade for 2 weeks.   


8.    What is the funniest thing a child has said to you while babysitting?
 "I sometimes love my dog more than my little sister, especially when she screams" 


9.    What is the best advice someone has ever given to you?
 If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room

11. What has been the best thing about working with SMS?

Being able to relive fun childhood activities that I enjoyed when I was younger and watching creative forms of imagination come to life!

7.    What is the funniest memory from your childhood babysitter?
 Using the phone in my parents bedroom to listen to my babysitter talk to her boyfriend, after she  had put us to bed. I was not very slick. She caught me every time. 


8.    What is the funniest thing a child has said to you while babysitting?
 "I'm allowed to eat ice cream for dinner, I do it all the time" A little kiddo trying to persuade me to let him eat ice cream instead of the dinner his mom instructed me to feed him. 


9.    What is the best advice someone has ever given to you?
 To stop worrying about things, and instead either tackle them head on or devise a plan for tackling them in steps, and stick to it.

Getting to know all of the different suburbs and neighborhoods of Columbus, meeting a lot of cool kids and families, and the flexible scheduling that allows me to focus on school as well.

Meet Michelle L!

6.    What did you want to be growing up?
I always wanted to become a teacher when I grew up.  After being a student assistant for an adaptive PE class in middle school, I decided that I wanted to become a special education teacher. 

7.    What is the funniest memory from your childhood babysitter?
 My childhood babysitter and I were playing outside and the alarm accidentally was set off.  Neither one of us knew the code to turn off the alarm, so the police came.  My four year old self was terrified that she was going to be sent to jail.

8.    What is the funniest thing a child has said to you while babysitting?
 I was babysitting a three year-old and she told me that she wanted to be a piggy when she grew up.

 9.    What is the best advice someone has ever given to you?

A setback is never a bad experience, just another one of life’s lessons.

 11. What has been the best thing about working with SMS?
I have worked for SMS for almost 3 years and have loved getting to know all of the different families.  There has never been a dull moment with this job!  I have also absolutely loved interning in the office with Amanda and getting to know more about the business side of the company.
